October 2015 Notes
Hello Autumn, goodbye Summer. Or so it seems here in northern California. It's finally cooling off a bit after a few weeks of really hot weather, and it feels good. I am just back a week or so from Maui, where my lovely daughter Lily was married on the beach, and it was a very nice affair. But now it's back to the grindstone to pay for everything! What a vicious cycle... play, work, pay; such is life I guess, in the rat wheel that we have made for ourselves in this modern world.
So just a few words here about what The Sorentinos have going for the rest of 2015. We have four more gigs booked for the year two in October, and two in December. They are listed in our current gigs on this very website. I will be taking off November from gigs for some family stuff I want to do. So if you get chance come on out and swing! The band is going to be playing some songs not normally on the set list, just to make it interesting for us and the folks who make it out on a regular basis. We will of course be playing songs from our new album "Rock and Roll Beat", and some old chestnuts as well. I think the band is sounding great right now, and I am having a lot of fun playing with the guys now. But what can a poor boy do but play in a rock and roll band? ow, and I am having a lot of fun playing with the guys now.
