- Hey there world...
- It just gets more and more weird everyday. It seems as if the world is coming apart at the seams. I think until they get gun control laws in order in the USA, we are gonna have our flag at half mast all year long.
- Well that's as political as I will will get ….
- Now for something completely different ……Music!
- I am writing this a day after I played Twangfest in Sebastopol and it was a good time, and we raised a bunch of money for Redwood Empire Food Bank. It was my first gig this year, and for some reason I just can't seem to get excited about playing live gigs right now.
- That being said, we did just book a gig at Grav South Brewery in Cotati on Sunday June 12th 1-4. I am knee deep in making the next Sorentinos album right now, and our good pal from across the briney, Steve Lee, is coming over to do his bit on the record and I thought it would be nice to have a gig to play so everyone could come out and say hey! So come out and say hey and dig hits from the past that are gonna last and and new tunes that will be out soon …I can’t help it …rhyming is in my blood. I think we are gonna have a full band with both Steves playing, and maybe a few more folks will fall by and sit in. I am excited about the new record. This is the third one I have made after what I thought was my last one, so you never know when you're gonna get bit by that inspiration bug. As John Lee Hooker says "It's in him and it gots to come out." I will be playing some of the early mixes on KRSH on Friday mornings with Andre once we have some, just to check out the waters.
