Rock Notes

- April Showers bring May flowers, but what does rain in May bring?
- It's the 2nd of May and it's raining right now here in bucolic Cotati, California. So time for some indoor activities. So I thought I would catch up on some reading, and write some new notes for our website since it's been a while.
- So the big news is The Sorentinos will be playing June 30 in the Old Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa, as part of the KRSH Backyard Series of Concerts. As I get older I find live gigs less and less appealing, but every once and while I like getting out and sharing the music that I have written over the years with all of our music friends that are still hardy enough to get out to a live show.
- I have just finished a book entitled 'The Gentle Art Of Swedish Death Cleaning' by Margareta Magnusson, which I read about in the NY Times I think… Anyway the gist of it is get rid of your stuff before you die so other people don't have to deal with it. And also just get all of your affairs in order. Including your personal relationships. You know, just kind of tidy everything up. I have had a few good friends and family pass on recently so I just thought it was time cuz you never know …… and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason who pulls the golden ticket. So anyway the point being on the June 30th date, we will be bringing back a previous incarnation of The Sorentinos with Me , Rob , Howard and Kenny playing together for the first time in many years. So if your around the North Bay drop on in. It's free, it's outside and I think it will be pretty darn good!
- The latest Sorentinos album 'If All Goes Well' is available on all major download and streaming sites. I am sold out of the CD's and as of right now I don’t have any plans to print anymore. I am however working on my fourth solo album tentatively entitled 'Myth Of The Circus'. This is gonna be a different sounding record if it goes to plan, and I think I have a good batch of songs to work with. I am gonna try to make the production values a little bit different than any other previous Sorentino albums. Wish me luck!
- Well that’s it for now, dig you all later.
