November 2015 Notes
"Well wintertime is coming the windows are filled with frost". And so it is, here in bucolic Cotati, Ca. at the beginning of November 2015. we are starting to get the chill in the air, and it's dark going to work and coming back! That part I don't like. But I do love the holidays, and staying home, and cooking stews and soups, and catching up on some reading or indoor chores that you put off all year while the weather is good, which is most of the time here in California. So I usually try to take this month off from gigging except a few gigs that popped up that I couldn't turn down.
The first one is at the Redwood Cafe in Cotati on Saturday November 21st at 8:00. This is gonna be a benefit for Redwood Food Bank, and is sponsored by Oliver's Market and KRSH Radio in Santa Rosa. It will be recorded live by Mooka and his pals at Prairie Sun Studios. The upshot is this very well may be The Sorentinos live album I have yet to put out, so I would love for all of our fans to try to make the scene so you can be on the album too! We will try to make it a special night and go through as many songs from our 21 album catalog as we can. So if your in the hood, swing on by and rock a bit!
The other gig is a birthday party that I am playing for my longshoreman buddy Ken Dow for his 50th at a club in Alameda called Roosters. Ttss the old Crown and Anchor which I played many years ago and it's gonna be mostly my work buddies, but everyone is invited so if your in the area.....and it's on Friday November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving. The gig will start around 9, and go till I can't stands no mo!
Well that’s it for now. Also, we have some gigs in December so check out the gig page and let's rock it one more time!
dig you later, Danny man
